Stanford University: “ ….. Dr. Mortimer said that Tai Chi, which has been described as a type of moving meditation, requires continuous and sustained attention to maintain posture.
The higher level of intellectual involvement in this activity in comparison to walking around a circular course may have been a factor in leading to the disparity of the two groups’ result.
This result is consistent with early research conducted by Stanford University, which shows that regular aerobic exercise does not provide the same benefits as Tai Chi to combat memory loss….”
In Tai Chi the whole body is flowing and relaxed while moving. Through the natural, unrestricted postures the meridians (energy channels) open more, so the life force "Qi" can circulate freely and then multiply. This is the basis of vitality, health and joy of life. With daily practice your body will become smooth, conscious and your movements graceful.
Weekly class on Wednesdays starts 12th February 6.30-7.30pm - 7 weeks (until 25 March 2020) - tuition fee: $85
